Ambrah

My name is Ambrah, and I am writing to share my story and advocate for my brother, Quinton, who has been incarcerated since he was just 19 years old. Quinton was sentenced to life without parole nearly twenty years ago, — a sentence that has profoundly impacted our entire family.

Quinton had a strong upbringing, but like many young men, he lacked a consistent positive male role model during his teenage years. Despite that, he always had a kind heart and great potential. Since his incarceration, Quinton has taken full responsibility for his past and has devoted himself to personal growth, education, and rehabilitation.

In nearly two decades behind bars, my brother has never received a violent infraction or disciplinary ticket. His record reflects not only his good conduct but his commitment to becoming a better person. He has developed wisdom, discipline, and compassion qualities that show he has truly matured and changed.

His incarceration has deeply affected our family. We have missed so many years of togetherness birthdays, holidays, and milestones that can never be replaced. The emotional pain of his absence has shaped all of our lives. Yet, even from prison, Quinton continues to inspire and support us with his words and his strength.

Now, as a mother, I am facing a new challenge; my 17-year-old son is currently incarcerated. I know in my heart that my brother can help guide him. The knowledge, self-awareness, and life skills Quinton has developed over the years could make a powerful difference in my son’s life and in the lives of other young men walking down a similar path.

I am asking you to consider my brother’s case and to recognize his transformation. Quinton is no longer the teenager who entered prison so many years ago. He is a man who understands the value of freedom, accountability, and community. Giving him a second look would not only restore hope to our family, it would allow him to give back and help others avoid the same mistakes he once made.

Thank you for your time, your compassion, and your dedication to fairness and second chances for those who have truly earned them.
